About Ellen

 

Ellen Kennedy Marsh was born on April 24 in Texarkana, Arkansas. Her father looked at her as a newborn and stated, “She will play piano before she is 6 years old.” Ellen began piano lessons at age 3, accordion lessons at age 4, and has been playing ever since.

She attended singing school practically all of her life. During her elementary education, she had a major emphasis on music, accordion performance, and various studies in music theory. Ellen has played professionally for over 10 years with several country artists and even worked on stage with Phyllis Diller.

Ellen has had the privilege of playing for gospel quartets and also teaches private piano, voice, accordion, and high school choir. She is blessed with her wonderful husband, Ed, of 49 years. Together they have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Their twin sons were their firstborn. Not only are they proud parents of twins, but they also have a beautiful daughter, along with another son, which is their youngest.
